Membership in Points Northeast Historical Society helps in the work of preserving the history of the area in several ways. Fees have helped to fund the exhibits and restoration of historical facilities at Browns Point Lighthouse Park and Dash Point School where exhibits, documents, and artifacts are housed and open to the public. They also finance the Society’s activities such as speakers for our Annual Meeting and hosting events such as National Lighthouse Day.
The number of members helps when applying for grants because funding agencies are impressed by the total number of members.
A membership provides you with a newsletter and updates about our special events. In addition as a member you can have fun volunteering on projects that will having lasting impact on the history of the community.
Membership Fees: Individual – $20.00, Family – $30.00, Senior (60+) – $15.00, Student – $10.00, Sponsor – $50.00, Benefactor – $75.00, Patron – $100.00, Business or Community organization -$100
Life Membership is a special category for those who want to make a long-term commitment as members, but want to avoid an annual renewal process. All proceeds from this membership goes into the Endowment fund, which now totals over $50,000. You can become a members of this unique category: Seniors (60+) $300 and Individual $500.
